Default Brake Light Indicator

Hey.

I replaced my front calipers, rotors and pads. I bled the brakes everything seems to be working fine. Now the brake light indicator still comes on. Is there anyway to reset it?

I don't see or feel anything wrong so far with the brakes, all light bulbs seem to be fine unless the parking brake needs adjustment, which I don't know because it still holds the car, I don't know why that light is on. Normally it goes off when you take the parking brake out, but it's not turning off this time.

Any ideas why it still shows or on how to reset it?

Honda Accord 2003 Sedan 2.4 liter 4cyl.

Thanks!

If this is the same light that turns on when you pull up the emergency brake, then I would check that the fluid in the brake master cylinder is full. Also check that the float is not stuck.

Well I know the fluid is all the way to the top since I had to bleed the car. I had to finish the job by making sure the fluid levels were fine. What do you mean by float???

Does your brake master cylinder reservoir or reservoir lid have an electrical connector? I know that through 2002, there was a float built into the reservoir lid that would turn on the e-brake light if the fluid got below a certain level.

Not sure that 03+ accords have that feature.

2003 had some kind of level-sensor in the side of the reservoir, not a float in the cap.

But the "brake lamp" warning is all about burned-out bulbs in the taillight clusters. It works by the wattage of the bulbs, so they need to be the correct wattage.

Post that back over in the other thread, then anyone who finds that thread by searching will know the end of the story.
