Default Broken transmission mount causing slipping?

Hey gang, new to this great forum. 2000 Accord EX V6, 197200 miles. Transmission slipping and bangs into gear on 1st (yes even 1st when accelerating out of a coast), 2nd, 3rd. Been that way without any change for about 10 years. Went to two dealers about 10 years ago and both said the same thing of course, "Replace the transmission". Recently took it to another dealer that said both transmission mounts were broken. I couldn't see them well enough to tell if were actually broken, but if they are could that cause the slipping and banging into gear (shocks and flares)?

The General Tech section is a better place for this so I'll move it. The DIY section is for complete write-ups on how to do something, not a good place to ask questions.

I can see the broken mounts causing the banging. When you get into the throttle or off of it, the engine bangs against one side or the other of the metal bits around the broken mount.

But I don't see the broken mounts causing the flare & slipping.
