Default A/C Belt removal

I did a search and can't get any information in regards to how to remove your A/C belt. I have a 1995 Accord V6 and my A/C compressor is going out. I don't have time or money to replace it right and would like to remove the belt since I think that is the cause of this squeaking noise. Honda dealer think its my A/C compressor that is making that noise too since it is going out. Please help, thanks in advance.

[sm=icon_rofl.gif]Believe it or not, I thought of that when I got frustrated and couldn't figure out how to loosen the pulley that held the A/C belt. I will save that as my last resort.

thats how i'd do it, not expensive to buy a new one if you want to put it back on, but other wise there should be adjustments on the ac compressor that you can loosen and move the compressor to get slack in the belt to take it off

If the belt is making noise when the a/c is not turned on then the belt is loose/worn, or the bearing in the a/c pulley is on its way out. The compressor is not necessarily going out. It looks like the a/c belt goes around the crankshaft pulley, the a/c pulley, and an adjusting pulley. There is an bolt that you can loosen or tighten on top of that third pulley that should loosen the tension on that belt.

Good Luck.

Yea, I can't figure out that third adjusting pulley. Don't know which bolt to loosen. Since the belt really isn't that expensive and I can drive the vehicle without that belt, I'll remove it some how even if I have to cut it. Gotta get rid of that loud squeak noise, you hear it a couple of blocks away.
