A/C Heat fan not blowing
Hi all,
I have a 2006 Accord V6/Hybrid with 135,000 miles & A/C Heat fan is not blowing anymore.
I have been trying to find the fuse for it but can't find anything labeled for it. I have a feeling this not going to fix the problem, but have to check the fuse 1st.
If anyone can suggest any easy fixes that might work or am I going to have to replace the fan & everything that goes with it.
Let me know if there is any other info that will help
Thanks

No 21 in the underhood fuse box is fuse for the blower.
Problem could also be a faulty blower relay, blower, or blower power transistor.
You should be able to temporarily substitute one of cooling fan relays to see if relay is the problem.
There is a power transistor test, but is body/model specific and requires some guidance to test. Suggest purchasing a download manual from automanualsource.com for $22. This will provide guidance for the test, but may not apply directly to your hybrid trim model or may be the same.
Thankfullly blower replacement doesn't look too bad if necessary. Again, a shop manual will be very helpful if you need to replace blower.
good luck

Thanks for the quick reply.
I was able to find the link on how to check for codes in the hvac, it came back "A problem in the blower motor circuit" Would that mean I would need a new blower, hard/easy are they to replace, something a novice could do, or do you need a degree from MIT to replace
Thanks again

1. It usually is due to a faulty blower motor transistor.

2. If you want an easy way to test the motor (which essentially will also tell you power/voltage (+) is getting to the motor from the fuse and relay if it runs), then see the following link.
The positive side (+) of the blower motor wiring is always hot, it just needs the negative ground (-) source through power transistor; the ground sources are controlled by the audio-HVAC control module. This test involves supplying the ground.

Blower replacement is not difficult. W/I capability of average DIY'r.
Blower fault code means an electrical fault; fuse, wiring, connector, relay, blower, or power transistor could be sourc of fault.
good luck
