Default Can I tow a motorcycle trailer with my 1994 Accord A/T?

Hi Guys-

Not sure, if its a weird question, but I am planning to buy a bike.

It's nearly 60 miles away from me. I am planning to get U-Haul motorcycle trailer:

U-Haul

Can I use my old 1994 Honda Accord EX(A/T) to tow a motorcycle which is nearly 541 lbs?

Please advise, any input or feedback about it. Thanks again

Yes, be gentle on it and you will be fine. I don't even want to talk about the things I towed with the 95 EX

It motorcycle is rideable (vs. needs repairs) it'll be all around simpler in my book
to get a friend with a M/C license to ride it home for you...

Motorcycle is derivable but, do I have to have a hitch or can i jut hook the trailer in the rear hook?

My car has a hook thing below the rear bumper, in almost the center. Is it good for towing or no?

We just came back from a trip towing my Honda Motorcycle behind our Toyota Avalon. 3200 miles, no problem. It was lighter than yours and on a light trailer. Those U-haul trailers are really heavy. Check around to see if you can rent just a small utility trailer that is lighter. The key is to keep the transmission fluid from getting hot. If it is 90 degrees outside, or higher, that might be a problem on that Honda automatic. Just tie it down well on each handlebar and once through the rear wheel and you should be fine. If it is only 60 miles, should be okay. Just keep the speed below about 60.

That hook thing below the rear bumper is NOT OK for pulling a trailer. That's a tie-down loop for holding the car down while being shipped on a ship or railcar. It won't react properly to the loads while driving, especially in a panic-stop.

As always, thanks so much. Then where should I install a Hitch? Do I need to have a hitch to pull the bike trailer?

A proper hitch probably bolts to a couple other hard points, maybe the structure where the bumper's structural beam is attached?

Anyway, I'm sure you need an actual hitch to be legal.

The hitch on my 95 goes to the "back subframe".

Many choices out there. Go to Curt's website and you can get some ideas.....or this: CURT Manufacturing - CURT Trailer Hitch #11203 | CURT Manufacturing

Again just trying to give you ideas. A local u-haul might install one for less.
