Default Car Ramps

I just changed the oil in my daughters 1992 Camry and used some car ramps a friend gave me. So much easer than using a jack and stands. I cannot use these ramps on my 2006 Accord as it hits the ramp about 3/4s of the way up. Has anyone found ramps that work well with the newer Accords? Thanks....Jack K

Cheat - block the rear wheels, jack the car up, slide the ramps under the wheels, and then let the car down onto them.

The ramps I've used w/ my '89, '92, and '94 Accords wouldn't work w/ my '98. Same problem as OP; bottom of bumper hits the ramp before tires do.

This worked for me; I cut a 2' length of 2 X 8 wood, and put that down in front of the ramps. Now the tires ride up on the wood, giving enough clearance so the bottom of bumer doesn't scrape the ramps.

I've got a pair of ramps that came with these plastic wedges that extend the slope way back. It makes them about 50% longer, and theybarelyclear the front of my cars. I think it was a way to keep selling the same old steel ramps now that all cars have lower front lips.
