Default Troubleshootin'

I'm sorry, that's actually P0706 code. P0430 said it was catalyst system inefficiency, it gave me the same description as P0420.

I checked fuel fuses today, both look good. I checked trans fluid yesterday, it did look a little low. It was changed a couple years ago, due for change in about 3k miles( I hope if I add some it will be fine). I'm almost set to test my fuel pump relay and the article I found describes a #4 pin I don't have. Anybody know how to test for continuity in a 96' fuel pump relay. Part says Mitsuba, model RZ-0088, part 5718B.

Edit: I can't seem to find any instructions on how to test my relay for continuity. So instead I opened up the relay for a visual inspection and found this. The picture doesn't show it best but there appears to be some black/burnt marks between the contacts there.

Saga continues. Resoldered one weird part of the main relay and it looks better and removed some black soot from the solder points. Car is still dieing and is now doing so more frequently.

I took it to the shop and they looked at they couldn't find the problem. Said they couldn't replicate problem... Said it's definitely something electrical

I think I'll test the spark plugs next and try to find somewhere to loan me a fuel injector noid light test. Maybe test fuel pressure.

Anybody have any ideas on what else to test?

Default New CEL, more trans codes

In spite of all the codes car runs fine, so I'm not going to worry about it.

I'm still interested in testing the main relay but I can't seem to find any instructions on testing the main relay in my car(The articles I found all include a #4 pin my relay doesn't have). I'm pretty sure it would pass anyway, I need to find a dynamic way to test it while the car is running. I think what I'll do is go to the salvage yard and just find a new one and see how that works.
