Get the code....again there have to be hundreds of videos out there on how to retrieve SRS codes on these by jumping two pins in the DLC.....I've looked before so I know...at the same time there are about the same number that will show how to re=set them.

Just me and too much reading but when an unknown SRS code is asked about the driver latch is the most I read about so that is what I think of first......if I had to guess, 90 out of 100 that I've read or seen have been the drivers latch.

Never tried this but some have said/asked - what happens if you latch the drivers belt before starting or turning on the car

I got the SRS light to go off by jumping the yellow connector under the dash. We will see if it stays off. I also got the radio code from the dealer this morning and got that working. So, right now I'm good. Thanks for all of the help.

OK, so the SRS light came back on. I've got the problem isolated to the passenger seat belt buckle. When I clear the SRS light it stays off until I buckle the passenger seat belt then it comes on immediately. Bad sensor in the buckle? I tried spraying some electrical connector spray into the buckle and the connector under the seat but that did nothing. Is the sensor in the buckle replaceable? Thanks for any help and direction you can give me.

I don't think you can buy the sensor in the buckle. On honda civics of that vintage, there was a rubber boot around the post of the switch that could bind up the switch. I've also seen where you spray electrical contact cleaner into the boot to clean out any residue that could be causing poor contacts inside the switch.

My wife took her 2000 Accord LX in to the dealer to have the code read. They found a bad Right seat belt. Ordered 1 up and gave her a call when it came in, and replaced it for free.

Thanks for the replies. I will give it another shot of electrical spray. I wish the buckle could be opened up and cleaned out. I'm more than sure it just crud in there that's causing the problem. I've got a dealer close by that I can use if necessary. Seems like most of the issues are sorted out now. The check engine light has stayed off after replacing the coolant temp sensor and condenser fan. Thanks for the help.
