Default clutch

hi .. anybody else ever had this problem.. my 2005 accord ( ctdi ) tourer, twice now the clutch just goes to the floor , very spongey, and imposible to change gear.... i found out the 1st time that if you just put your foot under the clutch pedal, and lift it all the way up it then works perfect... i thought the first time was a one off.... but it just happened again.. same cure.. foot under pedal and lift up... now working fine again.. BUT.. whats causing it.. ?? thanks.. kev

Suspect a failing master cylinder as fault in slave cylinder should not be recoverable. Some replace both slave and master cylinders at same time.

Inspect slave cylinder for external leak (end boot will hold fluid). If nothing, a leaking MC is likely.

good luck
