That's odd. If you had a serious emissions problem, you wouldn't be able to drive from the parts store to the emissions test place without setting off the light. Hmmm.

I have no idea how to do this on the V6, but my guess is when the plastic cover is removed there is a cover on top of the intake manifold between the cylinder banks, held on by 6 or 7 10mm bolts... I think these are the EGR passageways...
