My 1996 accord ex 2.2L condenser fan is staying on and draining my battery. It just started doing it a couple of days ago. The most interesting thing about this problem is that the vehicles a/c does not even work or is even charged with freon. The fan just suddenly came on and stays on. I had to pull the condenser fan fuse to keep it from running. Has anybody come across this problem? Any thoughts as to what would cause this to happen? Any advice would be appreciated.Thanks

 

Try another New condenser Fan Fuse and see if that old one is the culprit...

 

How about a stuck-closed fan relay?

 

x2......easy to check the relay, just behind the drivers headlight, behind the rad there are two relays "hanging" from a bracket....one is the cond fan relay, the other is the ac compr relay....if you need the wire colors let me know.
