Confirmed Fix - 1992 Accord NO START
sorry for being a douche bag guys on previous posts , i was in a hurry and frustrated , i am just getting back to my diag since winter, looks like the car is a EXR model with and external coil , i unplugged the wire from the external coil and cranked engine and held my test light close to it which was connnected to the battery ground and i seen no blue spark of any kind jumping the gap seems like my coil is not sending proper spark, i will probably replace coil, also i held my test light onto the terminal of the igniter module while cranking and test light flashed on and off so seems like my igniter module is good ?? do u really have to remove the whole distributer to replace the igniter ??
well i did some further testing i found this link on one of the no start thread and its AWSOME !!! for testing accords with external coils which mine is equipped with Part 1 -Honda Accord, Prelude Distributor Test i followed it throughly and i am not getting a switching signal from my igniter coil intermittenly, once and a blue moon it throws a signal and starts the engine buts majority of the time it does not siwtch the signal ,i will try an igniter for now
threw an igniter in it and Presto!!! she fired fine, i also replaced the cap and rotor jsut be to safe, I also found out that i one of the Techs i work with at my new job has worked at HONDA as a tech for 6 years and he told me usually with the older accords the most commom problem is a the External Coil or the IGNITER ...............done!!
