Hi Folks,

I just bought new Accord Coupe v6 Automatic, but when the AC is on, I noticed that cooling fan keeps on and off on 10 to 5 seconds intervals, 10 sec on then 5 sec off ..... is that normal?
it looks like the temperature sensor is fault or sth else .... or it is just normal ...

please advise people !!

 

AC cycling too rapidly can sometimes be from over-charged refrigerant, or restriction at the expansion valve.

Brand-new car? WARRANTY. Ask the dealer to show you other new Accords to see whether that cycling time is normal.

 

If you live in Abu Dhabi in the UAE and it's plenty hot outside, then yes, totally normal for the cooling fan to cycle on and off on a regular basis.

As you've said, the car under warranty and I will ask the dealer when I go there, but I'm asking if someone has the notice with his new car, so I will stop my worries when so

 

My question - what year is the car?

Next, BOTH fans should run when the AC is on.

It is brand new car, it is Honda Accord Coupe V6 2013
