Default dim headlights

i have a 5th gen wag. one of my headlights was out and so i replaced the bulb but it is still dim. its like its not getting enough power to light it all the way or like its fading out. any ideas?

Unplug the dim bulb and check that the pins are not corroded. Grab a volt meter. See if you have 12V from pin of the non-black wire to body ground (like a valve cover bolt) when you have the headlight turned on.

If you have 12V, I would clean the ground bracket. Get the 94 shop manual from the spooner link I posted in the Online Manuals thread in the DIY section. The electrical section will show where the ground is located.
