Disconnect cruise control module?
Hey All,
My CC module is hanging down under the dash and the bolts holding it down are missing. Can't see where they mount, and after searching bent upside down in the footwell, impossible to reach if I did. Got it ziptied to the steering column now, but wondered if I could just disconnect it without affecting my fuel injected motor's operation.
Thanks,

cruise control module? You mean the buttons on the column?
Yes, you can disconnect it. It's pretty straightforward. Provided your car has a throttle cable, there will be a second cable that attaches to the cruise control actuator, probably mounted on the firewall in your engine bay. disconnect that cable, unplug the buttons from your wiring harness, and drive on.

Cruise control module on these models is mounted at lower side of under-dash, just barely out of sight. I had to remove one for access to the Main Fuel Relay. I think its mounted on brackets just to left of steering wheel. Probably 10mm bolts, but could be stud mounted w/ retaining nuts.
good luck
