I'm sure the ECON button influences the shift points of the transmission for better fuel economy (at the price of less acceleration). I also suspect it influences the behavior of the iVTEC system.

It also will disengage the AC under heavy acceleration. Under full throttle all systems work like it is off. Like you just pulled out to pass and you need every horse to finish passing. You will get them all and shift at redline. Live it turned on.

It also "plays" with the pedal position sensor - to ease or slow any "jack rabbit" starts. In the '16 Pilot we keep it on.....unless I get "mad" and then I will turn it off and might even put it into "S" mode
