Engine light
Wonder if anybody know what is wrong with this..
When i turn on my car, drove for like five minutes.. then the engine light turn on. If i stop and turn off the car then turn it on again.. the engine light go away and it won't come back.
This only happen when the car is turn off for a few hours... and then turn it then the light stay on.. if turn off the engine and turn on it go away..
wonder what is wrong with it.. should i ignore it??

Gazing into my crystal ball of gueses based on very little useful unformation I say search the forums on how to pull check engine light codes. It will tell you to jumper the scs connector it will even tell you the location and why you are jumpering it and even what to do after you jumper it.

Behind the bottom of the glovebox, you can find a BLUE 2 pin connector in a holder.
Jumper the connector with a paper clip/or wire, turn on the key and count the Check Engine Light flashes.
long blink=10s
short blink =1s
Here is a link to the codes;

That code is for the EGR system. You will likely have to clean the ports. Its a pretty simple DIY.
Google T2T013.pdf the last two pages show the procedure for the 94-97 accords.
You have to remove the fuel rail and remove the cover for the EGR ports. Use a shop vac and a small pick to get most of the carbon buildup out of there. Try not to scratch the sides of the intake when doing this.
Then use carb cleaner and a test tube brush to get clean the rest out.

You don't have to leave this webforum for answers;
This guy has done a few EGR port cleans, and made a webpage for others.

However I would first check for plugged up EGR ports, because code 12 could also be a lift sensor problem.
With the engine at idle and warmed up, you can put vacum to the EGR valve and the engine should stumble or die.
If not EGR ports need cleaned.
Also you can reach your finger under the top of the EGR valve and push the plunger up.

If Code 12 EGR - exhaust gas recirculation lift valve. Is it faulty or need to be clean???
Should I look at there?? I will clean the EGR ports too but just want to make sure.
And for 91exDriFteR: I think you should learn more about English. If you can't read a simple thing like this then I don't know what else to said.

If you pull a vacuum on the hose going to the EGR valve when the engine is running, the engine should severely stumble and die. If it does, then the valve is working.
Plugged EGR ports are common on accords.
