Engine oil is completely gone

Have you tracked how many miles you need to drive before an entire quart is consumed?
Regardless, you can buy a whole lot of oil for the cost of repairing or replacing your engine. In the end, it is probably cheapest to simply add some oil every time you fill the fuel tank.

Well, the dipstick checked last monday was at the bottom of the recommended level part. Today, there's like a quarter of an inch on the dipstick. Probably driving it 400+ miles a week. Is there anything I can do myself to fix this problem? Besides getting a new engine. Also, how much would a honda engine cost? I work at a honda dealership and I can get one at a decent price I think.
I put 50 miles a week but I forgot that was about a day. its 350+ a week.

- Keep putting oil in it.
- Buy a good condition used motor from a wrecked car and put that in.
- Pull the motor, have the head rebuilt, have the cylinder walls cleaned up and honed, have the crank serviced, buy new pistons, rings, rod and main bearings, and a gasket set, and reassemble the engine. While your in there, might as well do the timing belt, water pump, oil pump, and thermostat.
- Buy a Honda motor and put that in.
If I were in your shoes, I'd do either the first or the second; I wouldn't even consider three or four.

Cheap. $300 & up on Craig's List and car-parts(dot)com. I like Craig's List myself because often you can start the engine, do a compression check, etc. On the other hand many junkyards offer a short warranty in case you get stuck with another oil burner.
