I have a 94 accord with jdmh22 engine swap and about a month ago my first gear has been very hard to put in. It just gets stiff and have to push hard on it. other gears are fine jus the first feels like something is blockin it .wondering wat could be causing the problem.

 

What fluid is in the trans?

 

making sure you got the correct fluid as Dude suggest is a good idea.. also chk to make sure the linkages are not binding, bent and installed properly , if it was working ok before the swap , that's what i would check, ,,,,

and the fluid should be engine oil ( 5w-20, 10w-30 ) 3 qts ..do not use gear oil ( 80, 90 w)

 

alright thx guys ill get the fluid changed and see wat happens from there
