first twist of the key per day ?????
2003 accord 4 cyl. only on the first twist of the key everyday the car has low battery symptoms, on 2nd twist of the key the motor spins over quickly as if full batt. charge and starts up just fine. all throughout the day is no problem.
new battery and the dealer did a full electrical systems check.
last night I disconnected the battery and had the same problem this morning
I am beginning to think oil or fuel is getting into the cylinder[s] overnight causing the starter to labor through the first spinover every morning.
thanks

If you had fluid getting into the cylinder, you should see some smoke coming out of the exhaust.
Stop by a parts store like o'reillys and they can test the battery/alternator/starter. Your description sounds more like a problem with the starter.

Don't bother having your alternator tested at an autoparts store. Mine was shot and tested good at 3 different places. I finally determined the problem via a $2.99 multimeter from harbor freight.
1. Check your resting battery voltage.
2. Check your voltage after the car is started and running.
3. Check your ground connections on the battery. Hit the contact points with some sand paper or steel wool.
4. Check your battery terminal connections. Scrub them with one of those $1.99 battery terminal cleaner brushes.
If these are not within the literature on the vehicle you have some trouble shooting to do.
