Default fixing engine code help

Ok so I have a 97 Accord lx
Parts
F20b Engine
DC headers
Skunk Intake Manifold
AEM CAI
TD 61-U dizzy
P13 ECU (using OBD2-1 conversion harness)

Ok so the problem i am having is i am throwing codes and i cant seem to clear them i tried resetting the ecu i checked the wires and they seem right but maybe i am totally wrong so if any one can help me out by giving me a desc of the correct sensor and wire color that would be a huge help to ensure everythign is correct.

The codes i am throwing are

Code 6 Engine coolant temperature
Code 9 No.1 cylinder position sensor
Code 10 Intake air temperature sensor
Code 21 V-TEC control solenoid

It will take a bit of work to run these faults to ground. All are fundamentally electrical faults that must be assessed.

Procedure is similar for all. First assess sensor directly by separating from engine harness. In the case of ECT, measure resistance and compare to spec chart to see if good/bad.

If sensor is good, then problem may be a wiring or connector fault between the sensor and ECU. Check each wire from sensor to ECU for continuity and isolation from ground.

If wiring checks good, then ECU is the problem.

This basic approach is applied to each sensor and Vtec solenoid to resolve problems.

Have Fun!

good luck

What vehicle is the P13 ECU you are using from?

Has the F20 conversion worked without throwing codes? Or did you do any work on the car where now you are getting CEL codes?

P13 is H22a ecu

and it has always been throwing codes since i first put the engine in.

21 is vtec i found out my connector is broken at the wires so i think that may be the problem going to go to pick and pull and get a new connector

Its been raining a lot in CO so i havent had a chance to check the resistance. the wiring was a hack job so i am wondering if some of the wires that were extended were soldered to the wrong wires. I will have to get a chart and check

If it's a 2-wire connector at end of harness w/ IACV, it's the Intake Air Temp (IAT) connector.

Wire colors from 94 shop manual are Grn/blu and Red/Yel.

good luck
