Hi, new here but have been lurking as I work on my (new to me) 97 accord (i4, sohc). I bought it from an in law, who claimed to take care of it (less than 92k miles) but noted it had been sitting for awhile with only the occasional start and run to keep it alive. Since getting it, the wipers didn't really work. It would activate the wash, but not turn on to wipe. If I fiddled with it, it would sometimes turn on low or high. As I live in Florida, not having reliable wipers while driving is quite dangerous. Thinking, with its age, maybe the switch connectors were corroded and maybe I can clean them. Upon removing the switch, I immediately saw the connector was burnt slightly on both ends around a central blade. Not knowing what to do, I put it back together. However now they virtually don't turn on at all, even with a jiggle. I've never done electrical before, and at a total loss ATM.
