FYI - EGR Port Cleaning Results
i did mine today, my car has 191,000 miles on it. the ports were not completely clogged but i would say they were 70% clogged up, the cover plate was more clogged up than the ports.
used carb cleaner and a flat head socket screw driver to scrap out the carbon deposits and rinsed it out repeatedly. used a small head phillips screw driver to clean out the manifold egr ports.
i however did not have a vac to suck it out as i was cleaning it(this is recommended)
also took the liberty of spraying carb cleaner on my injector heads to clean off any hard deposits(the heads were actually pretty dirty...)
put it all back together and i am very pleased with the results! car runs so much smoother. throttle response is improved as well as performance.
i recommend this to all who have not done this
