92 Accord Starting Woes
I have a 92 Accord that I bought and it was not running at the time. I was told it was a fuel pump and the owner did not want to fix it. After diagnosing the issue it turned out to be the distributor. I replaced the whole distributor, plug wires, and plugs. The car ran great. After a while I noticed the car taking a little longer cranking before starting. This cranking issue continued to get worse as time went on. Then about 6 months after replacing distributor it would not start up after it was hot. It needed to cool down before it would start again. It was found to be a bad distributor. When I returned it for the warranty, I was told it looked like it had gotten hot. Now jump forward about 4 months and its starting to show some of the same signs as before.
Is there something I should be looking for?

Get it tested. If bad, have it replaced. Double check the pins to be sure they are clean.
I could see if there were other issues, wire(s) grounding and that, but that would show up in the cars performace long before the ICM gave out....IMO.
