Default h23 tranny/ cable issues?

i have the m2s4 h23 tranny and couple weeks ago l was driving not gettin on it or anything and all a sudden l couldnt get into 1st gear. got home and checked everything replaced clutch slave and rebleed same thing. previously l had a crack on top of shift arm housing. so l replaced it as well along with all hardware inside such as the selector springs and selector arm. the arm was bent which cracked it. i was able to shift into 2nd then 1st and worked. 3rd l have to hold into gear basically keeps bumping out 1st and 3rd all my gears are there and are fine but wont engage correctly. l havent got chance to try 5th and rev is fine. now l have yet to have chance to check to see if the cables are binding or the arms arent going all the way over, which l think is prob. what do u think?

THEN

how about these apples..... l finally got some free time and had the old lady get in and shift back and forth from 1st to 2nd. and its not the trans at all. the damn shifter cables binding somehow and not moving it far enough so it can lock into gear. if l assist it with my hand it will go into 1st and lock w/o a issue. l have them routed like balwin did in the auto-5speed writeup and they have been like that past yr l dunno why all a sudden they wanna bind up now. can cables be bad? or a better routing?

the shift linkage cables do slide in and out a tube. I'm not sure if there is any grease inside the tube for the linkage to slide back and forth. It the cable might have gotten kinked somehow that would cause it to not let the shift forks place you all the way in gear and might be the cause of the popping out also.

Please don't take this the wrong way....are you looking for another opinion?
Can't really give an answer but more some questions to think about....

Cable(s) could be bad but as stated, why did that happen all of the sudden? You did a swap a while back, could you have pulled them some how?

Trans-not sure if this is the OE or part of the swap....fluid or something inside could be the issue....new fluid and see if anything changes....did you or another member have a crack in the pivot stud?

EDIT: Thanks G22-didn't see yours until I hit reply....

why did you rout them a different way?
How did you re rout them?
they should go in a straight line from the shifter to the engine bay then bend right to connect to the forks. I don't see how you could really re rout them?
Also what year and time accord are we talking about?
