Help! A/C problems
Hi all . So I have a 2005 Accord LX 2.4 4cyl. Bought the car from someone. The a/c wasn't working which I was aware of. Instead of fixing it asap my hubby decided he would leave it until it was Spring to fix it. Spring came and went & still no progress was made, so finally in the 100 degree weather he's trying to fix it with absolutely no luck. So, the compressor was left open. we recently bought the discharge hoses and everything, hooked it up and oiled it & put the Freon. When the a/c is on you can hear the compressor click. After putting the Freon the a/c still wouldn't come cold. Decided the compressor was bad so he changed it. After changing the compressor doing everything once again tried it and still nothing absolutely no luck. At one point the passenger side vent did come cold but the other three vents were still blasting hot air. After that, nothing. So stumped & frustrated. He's checked all the relays & fuses, new compressor. what else can we possibly troubleshoot? Any ideas what could be the matter? If you have any questions i'll be here -_- searching for answers. Thank you in advanced to anyone with the slightest clue!

Feel the large AC line where it comes out of firewall. If it's quite cold, the AC is probably working OK, and problem is blend door forcing cooled air to go over the heater core and be warmed. This may require replacement of blend door motor, or ac/heater controls.

You also need to be sure the pressure readings are correct. A low charge in the AC system will cause uneven cooling.....pass side cold - drivers side not so.
But PLEASE do not blindly add refrig to the system. This needs to be done while checking/reading the hi and low side of the system.

Thanks for the replies, I forgot to mention that while the car is off the gauge reads I think not positive, 100. When the car is on it's 0...just 0. Also the line would freeze up and be super cold but still nothing, maybe a clogged valve or something is causing this?
