Default Help me somebody no fire to Starter 1996 Honda ex Wagon

HELP
Last night I left my engine hood up and also my Sunroof down I forgot about it and it rained like hell today my car won't start there is no fire getting to the Starter I've cleaned and tighten Battery cable when I try to start it the Brake light and the Ac fan light or any of the climate control lights go dim like there is a short please help me I can't afford to bring it to Mechanics but I have Shade tree Genes
what do I check I've also checked my Tire Pressure hehe Joke! seriously tell me what to try please I'm new here Thanks Dennylee

Do not append your problem to others problems. It confuses everyone. The way to help is to initiate your own thread. Read the posting rules.

Suggest removing distributor cap, drying w/ hair dryer, and spraying a generous dose of WD40 on the interior of distributor. Same for spark plug leads.

Check that you are getting 12V to the Blk/Yel wire at the distributor electrical connection.

Turn keyswitch to On and listen carefully for fuel pump (in fuel tank) to run for 2-3 secs and go off.

report what you find.

By "fire" to the starter, I'm assuming that you are not getting 12v to the small wire on the starter. If the moonroof was open, you might also want to "dry" the gear position switch.....the car has to know it is in P or N before power will be sent to the starter.
