Default Idling Issues 97 Accord ex

I have a Honda Accord ex and it Idles in park fine but through out the day and like a stop sign or drive through where im in gear it rumbles or shakes slightly not bad but enough for me to notice. Its an Automatic by the way. Just wondering what it could be from.

And also I was wondering if this was normal, Ill be in D4 and drive up fourth gear but then ill slow down to like 30 and it doesnt shift down and rpm will be at like 1500 but once i need to go it doesnt seem to because its in fourth gear and it feels like im like bogging down..I dont know if this is normal or not...I thought having vtec was supposed to help this?

Welcome new member!

Shaking might be an engine mount, or maybe the idle RPM is a bit low. Look for posts about setting the "BASE idle" - I've posted them several times.

Not downshifting wouldn't have anythign to do with VTEC. There's a cable from the throttlebody down to the tranny; if this is loose that might be why. I don't have auto-trannys, but I THINK(?) the cable should cause the lever (on the tranny) to move immediately when the throttle is moved.
