Pax door lock should lock all doors when key is turned. If not, the keyswitch is bad or someone unplugged switch.

good luck

Your description is not too clear to me but I bought a used 94 LX and noticed the front right door would make a lock/unlock "sound" when using the drivers side switch, or when using the key in the drivers side door lock to lock/unlock the doors.

On the passenger side front door however, the door would actually lock sometimes but not others. The door would not lock or unlock using the key from outside the car on the passengers side.

I removed the front passenger door panel and found a broken plastic part on the back side of the door key lock assembly. I was able to repair mine, but probably best to purchase a new one if your's is also broken. It appeared that someone had broken into the car once upon a time and broke this piece trying to open the door. I could see the damage which I had not noticed previously after removing the entire door handle while working on this problem. I could see the damage of bent metal near the lower rear portion of the opening that the door handle mounts in. It looked like a small round object like an ice pick had been forced into this area to move the mechanical lock lever up, opening the door and breaking the plastic plate on the back of the lock that engages the metal lever that extends up into the manual lock area.

After repairing this part, I was now able to lock/unlock the car with the door key and the electrical lock/unlock works flawlessly now. If you are new to these cars, you will find you cannot lock the drivers side door with the electrical door switch and then close the door, even if holding the door handle etc. This is apparently a design choice and you can do this from other doors, just not the drivers door. An attempt I'm sure to keep you from accidentally locking yourself out of the car.

Hold the inside door handle open and lock away
This works on 2nd, 3rd, 4th gen Accords (82 thru 97) and the '07 Pilot I have

Thanks Poorman!!! I don't have the owner's manual and never thought to try that technique. I learn something new every time I check this forum!

I just got a quote from Honda dealer "estimate for service on your Honda Accord. The basic service of engine oil and filter change, including complete veh. inspection is $30.95 parts and labor. Tax not included."

Is the veh inspection good enough? For all the problems with the car? Thanks. Sorry I am new to car.

in my neck of the woods that is a steal from a dealership, just do it ...
maybe an introductory offer for new owners, but take advantage of it.

So, I just get back from an auto service and they recommend these things:
Power Steering Flush - $70
Outer Tie-Rod End (RO) - $102
Innert Tie-Rod End (LI) - $220!
Outer Tie-Rod End (LO) - $102
Wheel alignment - $80
VRIB Belt + MICRO Belt - $200
Transmission flush - $120

Totally about $900! Tie-Rod ends are so expensive, but they are just "Near end of useful life" so should it be prioritized? how about the belts? I will do the transmission flush soon though. Thanks!

Also, just last night the engine light is on, but this morning, it disappears. Is it like serious problem?

Please put your accord information in your signature, so we don't have to go to the first post to find out what car you drive.

Turn the steering wheel until it locks. Then jack up the front tires one at a time and try to push/pull the tire in the 3/9 and the 6/12 positions. Check for excess movement in the tire.

Do not flush the transmission. Just drain the transmission and refill it using Honda Automatic Transmission Fluid. One change will take 3 quarts.

And if the CEL came on, the code is stored in the ECU/TCU. Look in the "Common DIY Threads" sticky at the top of this section for a write up on how to get them and read them....post it/them back.
