Hey gang,

Last week, I noticed a light on the lcd above my odometer that resembles the symbol for fuse on a schematic. I looked through the manual and couldn't find anything. I was curious why Honda would use such small and widely unknown symbol and searched online with no luck. The next day, it was much larger and more abstract. This morning, it grew even larger and is invading the odometer's space. Has anyone had this problem? Is this fixable/replaceable by a diy'er? Images attached.

 

Not sure on the 07, if you take it off trip a to the milage....is it still there?

Thanks for your reply. I went through the trip and it's always there. I took some better pics last night and noticed that it's whiter/brighter than the number and even bleeds over top of the "5," though just barely. It seems to get larger when it's colder overnight but last night it didn't seem to change. This could be coincidental (was about 10 degrees above freezing). Kinda reminds me of a termite's path.

Has anyone had this happen to their lcd displays? The 2 images on the left are from last night. The 2 on the right are from this morning. Notice the growth of the problem overnight? Sorry for the poor image this morning, just couldn't get the phone to focus with all the light around.

I need to get my oil changed soon but I'd like to have an idea of what this is before I go in. Thanks!

the LCD is leaking (liquid crystal display) can't be remedied without replacement of the cluster.

 

Just wanted to let everyone know that the maintenance minder display is completely fine. Once it became warmer outside, whatever the issue was resolved itself. I did not have to do any maintenance or service on it. We'll see what happens when it gets cooler now.
