lost on what to do next

Default lost on what to do next

96 accord ex stick 2.2 vtec wouldnt tach over 4k. code for catlist bank 2. hollowed out cat and replaced downstream oxygen sencer but no change. unplugged mas air flow sencer with the car running and it stalled. plugked it back in and started the car. now tachs to 6k but wont go any higher. max is 7250. gas pedle doesnt feel right.

Wow...

4-cyl only has one bank, so what's the actual error code number for "catlist bank 2"?

You hollowed out the cat & expect that to make it work better?

Your car doesn't have a mass air flow sensor. What did you unplug?

It was the map sensor. i typed the wrong thing and the tach maxes out at 6300 not 7250 i was wrong. just went and started it and it is working now but the it still doesnt feel right or respond right when i step on the pedle

Well how about we start from the error code - what's the actual code number?

P0420 is for the catalyst, but it doesn't say "bank 2". And it shouldn't cause any problem with how it runs. So I'm guessing you have some other code for some other problem maybe unrelated to the catalyst at all?

after i checked it i deleted it. tryed to take it to work to day to see if the engine light would come on again but no luck. started out running good but than within a mile it dropped back down to 20mph an bucked arround alittle bit. on the way home it got realy bad and on hills it dropped down to 5mph.stopped at a gas station turnrd it off than back on and it ran fine again for about a mile. than started acting up again. im at a complete loss on what to do.

tryed a gas filter but no luck. thinking maybe an exhaust prob. anyone got any ideas?

chk fuel pressure,,,,,,,,,hook up a gauge and drive it,,monitor the pressure
did you reset the ecu after you unplugged the map sensor?? any codes stored ??

i have a snap-on scanner. i used it to clear the codes after unplugging it. there were no stored codes.
