Manual Transmission Fluid

Default Manual Transmission Fluid
How frequently does the manual transmission fluid need to be changed? The owner's manual says change it when the Maintenance Minder "3" appears. The vehicle is a 2007 LX 4 Cyl with 5 speed MT.

My 2003 (without maintenance monitor) said 120k miles for manual tranny oil. That seems way too long for me, so I changed in at about 60k miles. It wasn't perfectly clean, but it seemed OK.
