Default RE: motor mounts

hello amigo......

to replace the rotors. if you go to the DIY section , there is a write up on HOW TO replace hub over rotor set up.

As for the idle adjustment, that valve is called the EACV ( Electronic Air Control valve ) . it is located behind the valve cover, in frt of throttle body.
start the engine and let it warm,, hook up a tech or use the 1 in the car, disconected the plug, make sure that a/c is off, lites are off, .. anyho, adjust the idle to 600 RPM ,, tunr engine off, reconnect plug, pull the 7.5 amps fuse ( back-up) in the underhood fuse box to reset the ECU and clear the chk engine lite,
start the car, with EACV reconnected idle should be now at around 750.i like to set it at 800. so turn screw counterclock till it reaches 800 RPM ...... turn the lites on, idle should be about 50 rpm more, turn lites off, A/C on. idle should also be about 50 rpm more.

Do not set the idle too high or the engine will surge ..

try this , if any questions ,ask away ..

i did all you asked and it seems to be doing good so i think it worked.

now for the new problem i went to remove the back up fuse to reset the ecu and there wasnt one. i went and bought one and put it in and my seatbelts moved which they never done before (did not work) my clock worked and it beeped when i left the key in the ignition. the seat belts did not use to work but when i put the fuse in the drivers side moved up cause the door was open and then i got in and shut the door to see if by accident i had fixed them and the seatbelt did not come back and the seat belt light started to flash and a beeping came from under the pass. seat. the passenger side seatbelt never moved even when i opened the door. i looked under the hood fuse box to see if there was some other fuse missing and i saw 2 spots for fuses 30A l motor passive and right motor passive the left was missing so i replaced it and nothing happend. well if anyone caould help me trouble shoot this i would appreciate it.

hey thanks for responding. i am sorry i am asking so many questions but i just got the car and i trying to fix anything that is wrong with it.

it is a 2dr lx, under the passenger seat there is a box called the belt warning box there are two plugs that plug into it a brown and green well i figured out that if i disconnect the green one the beeping leting me know the seatbelts are not working will stop is it okay to do this. like i mentioned before the backup fuse was not there when i checked so i replaced it cause i fugured since it had to do with reseting the ecu then i think it would be imortant for it to be in. i also have two other questions if my idle is okay and i can feel and hear vibration that could only mean my mototr mounts are bad more than likley right. and also i have noticed that when i turn the ac on the is an anoying kinda hum that comes from the compressor what could that possibly be. sorry that i am asking a butt load of qouestions but i am just trying to fix what someone else didnt care to do.

# 1 ,,,,, about the vibration,,,,,,,,,,if the idle is ok, and you feel a vibration in the steering whell at idle i would chk the motor mounts,,DO NOT replace anything until you confirm that the part you are replacing is causing the problem,,,,You also said you hear the vibration ???? mounts do not emit a noise , you might be hearing one of exh system heat shield rattling ??? It is very hard for me to tell you what the noise is , without hearing it myself,,but again DO NOT start replacing components till you verify the source of the problem

# 2 The a/c noise.......if you only hear the when the a/c clutch engages, chk the belt first make sure it is ok,,,, If ok,, noise could be the a/c compressor itself,

Now for the seat belt, ,, reconnect everything like it should,, call the dealer and ask them if the issue you are having is under warranty,,,,,,,,,Seat belts being a safety item, Honda warranties it for lifetime,, depending on the problem, ,,,,,,,,Let us know what dealer says
