I have a 95 accord 4 door sedan 2.2l
One of the blinker/signal wires touched each other and shorted something out and I'm having a hard time figuring this one out, the hazards work fine, all the bulbs aswell and no fusses blew, and as far as I know the relays are fine, nothing shows up on the dash when I turn the blinker switch left or right but shows up fine with the hazards,
was wondering if anyone had an idea what this could be, need help, thanks

 

A short to ground would cause a high current flow through turn signal switch (what was being done to cause this short?). It may have damaged the column turn signal switch.

I have a weak RH turn switch on my 94EX and symptoms are no blinker for long time, followed by fast blinker for short time, followed by normal blink rate. If I hold switch just right it will work fine. But in cold weather it can take some time for switch to work correctly.

The short was caused by damaged wires in the bumper blinker, the 2 wires were touching each other when I took a look, I suppose the only thing left to test is the switch?

 

Short should have resulted in a blown fuse. Check fuses.

Since Hazards work fine, and turn signal switch is simply an alternate path to supply power (from turn signal/hazard relay) to one (L or R) of the turn signal circuits, it is very likely the turn signal switch is the problem.

You could remove the steering column shield and test the wires from combination switch connector by shorting at the harness side to simulate closing the L or R turn signal switch.

You need a wiring diagram. Check Online Manuals post in DIY forum for a download manual.
