My friend has a 1994 Honda Accord EX 2.2L V-Tec with a 5-speed. He just lost 3rd gear. It wont go in at all. When he tries to put it in gear it grinds. Will a tranny from ANY other car fit his? Our salvage yard has no Accords in it. Will a tranny out of a different Honda work in his car? Maybe out of a Civic?

 

Prelude would be your only other option.

 

Just take the outer case apart and replace the broken shift fork. easy. not expensive
