Default new cv = shake

i have a 94 accord ex.

after replacing the drivers side cv axle my car is shaking violently. under inspection it seems like the new axle is too long. when i turn the wheel all the way to the left it will stop shaking. my motor mounts are clearly worn and the whole engine is shaking under acceleration. i already took back one axle and replaced it with a different one, however it only got worse. could the axle be too long? i purchased a reman master pro from oreilly auto.

symptoms

car shakes with rotation of wheel not by rpm
car goes faster- shake is more frequent
it stops shaking when wheel is turned completely to the right
engine shakes not wheel
new cv axle
cv seems too long

Need to think about replacing the mounts if they are bad.

My experience is that none of the AZ, ORielly, et al CV axles have the mid-shaft harmonic balancers. I struggled for almost 2 yrs w/ vibration under acceleration of my 94EX (2 replacements w/ AZ axles) before purchasing some Raxles cv axles which include the harmonic balancer rings on the axle.

Raxles cost a bit more (roughtly twice AZ axles) but were worth it for me.

good luck
