new issue *now that idle fixed lol
#22
The swivel bracket the alternator was attached to where I had to rock it back and forth. Its attached to the engine or something with two 14mmi bolts. The bracket is in the way of me pulling the alternator down to the axle...book says to remove it too

Again, I've changed somewhere around six or seven of these. I've never pulled the cv shaft and I have never removed that lower bracket (I'm assuming that is the one - the upper has smaller bolts).
If you are having trouble getting the alt from the lower bracket - get a big/long screw driver or pry bar and put it between the alt and that bracket (engine side) and pry on it as you rock the alt towards the front and back of the car.
Then - again just me, slide that bad boy along the firewall towards the pass side and then pull it from where those heater hoses go to the heater core.

Pull, push, move it towards the firewall in an almost straight/level move. Once you have it at the firewall there is enough room to start to spin/twist it in a way that it will either move along the firewall to the pass side and remove from there or since you already pulled the cv shaft - drop it down.
