yes, they can make you a key, the coupes did not have a outside keyhole for the trunk...guess it wasn't in the budget make sure you get the key with the keyless remote integrated into it.

I used iKeyLess.com to buy extra keys and remotes after we bought our 2001 Accord last summer, everything works perfectly well. Here's a link for the 2003 model year:

The key you want is the "Remote & key combo - 4 button". That one looks identical to the factory key that came with our 2003 Accord.

Shipo, did you get a local locksmith to cut the physical key blade & do the immobilizer programming?

Here's how you can program the locking remote... but this doesn't do the immobilizer.
1) Unlock Doors
2) Turn ignition key to "ON" position (II)
3) Press the "LOCK" or "UNLOCK" button on the remote
4) Turn the ignition key to the "OFF" position (0, I)
5) Turn the ignition key to the "ON" position
6) Press lock or unlock
7) Turn key to off position
8) on position
9) lock or unlock
10) off position
11) on position
12)lock or unlock - doors should cycle to indicate successful programming. If you only have one remote, turn ignition to off or don't touch anything. if you have 2+ remotes, go to 13:
13) lock on each transmitter that you need to program

*Steps 2-12 must be performed within 5 seconds of each other. Step 13 can be performed within 10 seconds of step 12.

(ps: Shipo, I changed that link to a non-working URL for a selling website)

Yes, I think he charged $45 to cut the key and do the immobilizer programming.

Another thought...

You can continue to use your existing key & add a remote-locking fob say the one for a 2001 Accord. That way you'll have 2 keys; the one you already have plus the new integrated key&remote. Use the programming steps in my last post for the remote-lock transmitters.

Got a spare key for my 2001 for $35 from the dealer. They wanted $95 for a remote. If the 2003 has a remote built into the key, I'm guessing it will be closer to the $95 range.

Do you remember if their FCCIDs are the same?
Thanks

No, I don't remember about that. But I think they might have been different. A new re-designed device might need a new FCC registration, even if it transmits on the same frequency and uses the same data-type and signal sequence.
