Ok so I have 94 Honda accord ex and about two weeks ago my clutch pedal dropped straight to the floor I had to get it towed checked the reservoir and it was empty the next morning checked the slave cylinder and there was fluid all under the rubber boot so I had that and the master cylinder changed alright regained pressure in the clutch drove it for a little why went to work attempted to leave work and there wasn't enough pressure in the clutch to shift into any gears so I threw it in first drove for maybe ten minutes all in first gear btw and regained enough pressure to shift gears my first initial thought was I may still have air in the system took it to Kramer tires they bled it and now my clutch pedal is back on the floor im hearing so many different things that could be wrong from a leak somewhere in the line but im not losing any fluids to my throw out bearing being out but I'm not hearing the sounds from the tranny that would indicate that being a fault .. Any help would be greatly appreciated

 

Was the slave cyl changed? You had fluid under the boot and replaced the master cyl? I'm lost again.

 

Yes both the slave and master were changed

 

I meant fluid on the rubber part that you pull back on the slave

 

So you replaced the clutch master and slave, correct?

You bleed it and it works for a bit?

I'd inspect the hose (I think this gen had a rubber hose) and be sure it isn't "sucking" air back into the system.

 

Yea changed the master and slave bled it it's like it will hold pressure fine for a few hours I'd be at work when it's time to leave try to put it in reverse still a little pressure but not enough to get into gear ride 1st for a little while about ten minutes and the somehow I'm able to develop enough pressure to push on the clutch to change gears and checking this hose you mean the Hydrolic one I'm assuming how do I go about checking it to fine any type of air being sucked in and are you ruling out the throw out bearing or anything in the transmission because I'd hate to have to drop it again

 

Sounds more in the clutch hyd system than a clutch/trans issue.

You want to be sure the clamps on the hose are tight........but don't break anything.

The rod on the master cyl "could" be out of adjustment?

Debate starter here.....for bleeding the clutch, which is hard, I'd suggest a speed bleeder to help. Some don't like them, I agree that using them for brakes is a waste of money and time but on the clutch system I believe they are worth it.

 

Ok I'll definetly try to find one of those so it's more than likely air still trapped in my system because my reservoir is full right now none is leaking out anywhere that I can see
