Default Odd ECU part #

I have a 91 automatic accord EX, and it needs a new ECU. from looking around, there are tons of different ECUS, but they all begin with like 38702- blah blah blah, but mine is different, its number is 281-00-px4922. any idea why its so different, and why i cant find it. am i looking for another number, is it an older or non original part? what is up with this odd part number? i can only find one like mine with my part number, buts its considerably more than all the other ones. any help here?as i have no idea.

I think that number is for the transmission control unit. The ECU should be right next to it.

You are correct that the ECU part number should be 37820-PT3-A73 according to hondapartsdeals.com

Just curious, Why do you need a new ECU? What symptoms?

I've seen many folks replace them, but only extremely rarely are they the fix. The TCU (right hand board in the module) is another issue. It does have a history of failure in the 90-93 accords.
