Default Oil leak

Just replaced oil pan gasket in 02 Accord 2.3L and did the valve cover earlier this year. Started the engine, and after about 10 seconds, engine oil started dripping down from around the area where the LS axle enters the trans. I removed the shifter linkage cover to verify that it wasn't that side of the gasket, but it's dry all around the pan. I am at a lost from where the oil may be leaking from. The leak never starts immediately, only after about 10 seconds, as if the oil needs to make it to the leak site. Any ideas?

What do you call the "LS axle"?

I grew up calling sides of a car "as you sit in the drivers seat" - Left Hand Drive (LHD) in north america. So we drive from the left side of the car.

So is this the left/drivers side or the right/pass side of the car?

I'm only asking because "which" side" the leak is coming from is going to help us figure out what the issue is/might be.

PS- Thanks for joining HAF
