Mostly Mobil1 5w-30 and Honda filter, last oil changeIswitched to Mobil1 5-30 Extended Performance and Mobil1 Oil filter.
I do hear good things about Pennzoil Platinum and might give it a try next time.

fram are S**T. cardboard and glue. Mobil 1 or K&N oil filters would be the absolute best to get that are commercially available. both have over 99% multi pass efficiency.

Each number is a 'weight' which is a kinda bogus way to refer to viscosity. It refers to an allowable range of viscosity measured at a certain temperature.
The 30 & 40 refer to the oil's viscosity at operating temperature. The first number with the "W" refers to it's viscosity cold.
So...
10w-30 & 10w-40 should measure about the same viscosity if you measured it cold. I can't remember if that's 0.C or what temperature.
But if you take those oils & measure viscosity at 100.C then the 10w-40 would have higher viscosity.

Actually, I was at VatoZone while my wife was at WalMart, and 1 to 1 all the way, Walmart was almost consistently 50% cheaper.
I now buy my filters and oil at WallyWorld

The #'s themselves are relative to crude oil at the 2 temps (40.C &100.C per a website that I just looked up .... 40 seems high, 104.F). They are percent of the crude viscosity.

10w-30 is your best bet or 5w-30 the oil passages in Hondas are very small, so using anything higher than 10w-30 will be risking damage to the motor. As for shopping at WallyWorld to get oil and filters....its your cars death...yea the oil is cheaper but the filters are crap and you are supporting a growing global monopoly.
