@TexasHonda - I use the full version of Nero. There is a free version of Nero that doesn't have all of the functionality, but it does burn .iso files.

 

I used Roxio to burn mine. However I just tried the Windows Media Player on this PC and found the ISO file. Had to change it to Data CD, the when browsing for the file, change the file type to Any File (*.*). The attached is the manual for the 6th gen's from the DIY link...I know it is not the same but they both have the .iso extention

 

Thanks PM. I'll try that. I hate to add software unless absolutely essential.

My son clicked on link late last year, and he had to wipe the hard drive to get rid of a particulary nasty malware attempting to sell some useless "viruscan" package.
