Default problem after timing belt change

Hello all.. was wondering if anyone could help me out with a little problem. I have a 2001 accord ex. auto. em.. i had the timing belt changed recently and since then when stepping on the gas it seems like the engine is trying too hard. and now sounds like I had put a new exhaust in. like a deep growling sound. Seems like its laking power. somewhat like its starting in a higher gear or something. or somewhat like something is too tight in there somwhere.. this make sense at all?

TIA

Default RE: problem after timing belt change

Perhaps the new belt is one tooth off, so the valve timing is wrong? I don't know for sure, but it doesn't seem unlikely that this might result in a different exhaust note. If the valve timing is off then I'd be expecting a power loss.
