Default Radar Detector Power

I have an '11 EX-L V6 Accord with Nav. I want to power my Valentine RD from the mirror. The mirror has two wires into the plug in the rear. One is black and the other appears to be gray. I need to know which is pos and which is neg. There appears to be more slots that also may be available for use.
I would appreciate any help fro the forum.

This is my first post to the forum.

Thanks

I don't know why you want to get the power from the mirror, but you can either use a multimeter or a test light to find out which one is the hot wire.

I am mounting the RD from the mirror using a BlendMount. I have the same set up on my Vette and I like it, no wires hanging and the easiest way I know to power the unit.
