Red face Radio starting problem after inputing code

Every time I disconnect battery I have hard time getting my radio 'on' after putting my 5 digit code. I have honda accord 95, 4 cylinder. It asks for code on the radio screen. Then, immediately I entered 5 digit code. It makes a beep sound on couple of numbers only. Is it suppose to make beep sound for every digit I entered? I have no idea what is going. Sometimes, I am lucky that radio starts without any beep sound. But most of the time, it has been very difficult to get radio on. Now I am stuck here after several trials of entering the code. Can anybody help me on this?

Thanks,

Donda

All you have to do is enter the code and not worry about the beeps. The radio should beep when the code is entered, then it should turn on.

Now if you entered codes too many times, then you have to wait a set amount of time before you can enter the code again. I think it is an hour, but I can't remember. That information should be in your owner's manual in the glove box.

Yes, I did enter the code many times. That might be the problem. This morning I tried again, it did not work. I disconnected battery again and tried it again. It worked at 2nd time, but it did beep at 2nd digit number, weird!
Anyway, thank you for your contribution!

Thanks,

donda

I had a similiar issue with the radio. I was entering what I knew was the correct code however, I was told that after I brought my 2003 accord to the dealership for a recall repair (the radio and ac/heat light problem) the chip that they replaced caused the code to be changed. I call the Honda 800 # and the tech helped me find the new code using the VIN # and serial numbers. I used the codes and the radio came right back on.
