Radiator fan problem
My radiator fan doesnt turn on. I check the relay the relay is good. It used to turn on wit the a/c but it doesnt any more. So i took it to a shop and they put it to run through my battery and the fuse box. And it turns on that way. But im tired of it running that way because the wire to the battery is in the way. They said the part that is needed to fix it is only sold at a dealer or junkyard. It didnt cross my mind to ask what this part is called. And now i have a parts car but dont know what the part is called. When i went to ask the shop had moved. By the way its a 92 honda accord ex. Any clue what the name of this part might be? Thanks in advance

Only parts I know would disable radiator fan only is fan relay or wiring between relay and fan. Lack of ground return (part of wiring to the fan) could also disable the fan.
Suggest checking for power w/ AC switch On at relay. If OK, check for power at the radiator fan connector. If no power, you will need to trace this wire to find the damaged (open) location.
If you find power at the radiator fan connector, then check for ground on the ground wire of the fan connector.
good luck

TX - Sorry, I read this way differently.
OP - there are two fans on the rad, for ease lets just call them the pass side and drivers side. When the AC is on, BOTH run. When the car is on and cooling fan switch (thermo A on the t-stat housing) "sees" temps around 196 - too tired to look up the exact temp - BOTH fans come on.
When the car is off and thermo B (upper rad hose to cyl head) sees temps ~210 (same as before too tired) then ONE fan runs.
Long stupid read: https://www.hondaaccordforum.com/for...similar-44973/
Bottom line, if they got the "issue" correct, the only part of the system that is "only" available from the dealer or a bone yard is the cooling fan timer. Another good read : Overheating Troubleshoot for Honda's Cooling System
Don't let all of this put you off, if you have a volt meter, time and are doing this yourself....we can help/walk you thru the testing.
