Default Rear hub/abs sensor

Hi folks the accord is off the road at the moment and needs a few bits sorting. I've got new rear disks and pads and I'm getting a new rear hub.
Trouble is the abs light is coming on when I start rolling so I think the sensor is knackered or would the excessive play in the hub be tripping the sensor?.
Its a 96 ex coupe by the way. Thanks

Excessive play would have to be huge to set that off. Jumper the SCS connector & read the flashing-lamp code for the ABS. There's lots of OTHER things that it MIGHT be other than the sensor.

When you take off the rear hub, the sensor is a little magnetic thing alongside the toothed ring. Sometimes it can get full of magnetic crud. Clean it up.
