Question Remote transmitters not working

I bought a used 2005 Honda Accord LX a few months ago. It came with two keyless entry remotes but neither worked. I was told they would work if I got them reprogrammed.

I changed the batteries and followed the instructions online for programming the remotes (ignition on, press lock, ignition off, repeat ...). I never got the indication that the vehicle entered the programming mode.

I bought new transmitters and tried to program them. Still never get the indication that I have entered programming mode.

I replaced fuses 7, 8, and 21 and tried again to program the remotes. Still nothing.

The power locks work fine. The interior button will lock and unlock all the doors. Inserting the key into the driver door and turning once will unlock the driver door, turning twice will unlock all doors, turning the opposite direction will lock doors.

None of the buttons on the remotes do anything (lock, unlock, trunk, or panic).

Any ideas what else I can try to get my remotes to work?

It might possibly be due to a faulty driver's door multiplex control unit (MCU).

The antennae is part of the driver's door control unit. The door mcu is part of the driver's master window switch.

I have a 2005 honda accord lx I know that you have to have a specific fob to work on the vehicle I believe that the key for that car should only be 3 buttons lock unlock and alarm. So they could be the wrong key fobs
