Post Replacement Donut Tire For 1996 Accord

I still have the original Goodyear donut tire that came with the car. It was used once, and has always been inflated.

Because of the tire's age, I'm thinking about replacing it. I tried doing this several years ago, and couldn't find a tire dealer that sold them.

My question is this - do the latest model Accords' come with a donut spare tire? If yes, what size is it?

Thanks,

Rob

If it still has good tread, no dry rot, and can hold the recommended 60 psi for a long period of time, then keep the tire.

I checked the tire, and it appears almost showroom new, i.e. it has a new tire appearance look and feel, if not the smell.

In any case, what are the signs of dry rot besides the obvious cracking, and the tire actually looking "dry?"

Thanks,

Rob

The cracking is the main thing.
